UVIATOR SOFTWARE

• Handles multiple UVS radiometers
• Corrects UV measurements for air-mass and Ozone column
• Ozone plug-ins for OMI, TOMS, Brewer and column files
To improve the accuracy of your UV-A, UV-B and UV-E measurement results, we have developed the unique UVIATOR software package.
Each UVS radiometer is already supplied with extensive factory calibration data. This allows manual correction of the data to minimize errors. UVIATOR takes this a step further by carrying out the process automatically and providing graphical visualization of the results.
Combining UVIATOR software with the spectral characteristics of the radiometer, corrects the mismatch between the actual sensor response and the ideal sensor response. This first step enables further corrections to be made to compensate for changing conditions of the UV spectrum.
The correction methodology is based on an atmosphere transmission model and the use of the Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) satellite data that can be retrieved from the internet. This satellite gives the total Ozone column density based on position (longitude and latitude) and time (GMT).
Our UVS Series is now upgraded to include the same waterproof connector and yellow signal cable as the CMP series pyranometers and this allows more flexible wiring arrangements for connection to data loggers and power supplies. These improved UVS radiometers are delivered with the UVIATOR software included as standard.
More features:
- Night-time offset correction
- Non-stability interpolation and radiometer-not-used periods
- Radiometer internal temperature monitoring
- Selectable atmospheric transmission model
- Adaptable UV measurements file format
- Selectable columns for output file
- Create output file per day, week, month or year
- View output file in graphical format
- Calculates UV dose and UV-Index from
- UVS-E Erythemal response data
The UVIATOR software package is also available separately for use with existing Kipp & Zonen UVS radiometers.
